Bruno didn't start with a business plan. He started with a decision, to work remotely, be present for his family, and build something meaningful with the people he trusted most. What began as one person doing digital work became a family-built operation rooted in care.
Balay
Visayan · noun · /ba-lai/
In the Visayan language of the Philippines, Balay means home — not just the structure, but the warmth, the care, the people inside it.
When Bruno chose this name, he wasn't thinking about branding. He was thinking about the kind of place he wanted to build, one where clients felt cared for, where the team felt invested, and where the work felt like it meant something.
"We don't treat clients like accounts. We treat them like guests in our home — you come in, we take care of you, and we don't let you leave without knowing you're in good hands."
That idea, home as the emotional anchor, shapes everything at BBC. The way we onboard. The way we communicate. The way we stay involved long after the initial setup is done. You're not hiring a service. You're joining a house.
Bruno, Founder
RJ Bryan B. Tres Reyes
Founder & Lead Strategist, Balay ni Bruno & Co.
Before BBC, I was working in the call center industry in the Philippines. When the pandemic hit, I made a decision that changed everything, I wanted to work from home so I could be present for my family. So I became a virtual assistant. I learned, I worked hard, and I built my skills one client at a time.
As the work grew, the people closest to me wanted in. Friends. Cousins. Colleagues I had watched work with integrity for years. I didn't hire from a job board — I trained the people I already trusted, people I had watched grow, people whose character I already knew.
When client work expanded, I brought those people alongside me. Not cold hires. Not matched strangers. Real people who had proven themselves to me personally — working together the way family does, with honesty and accountability built in from the start.
BBC was also born from something deeper: a belief that our skills and our work should create real opportunities, for us, for our families, and for every client who puts their trust in us. That's not a company value posted on a wall. It's the reason we show up every day.
Welcome to Balay ni Bruno, the house we built together.
Not a funding round or a rebrand, just a founder who kept doing real work and brought the right people in at the right time.
Where It Started
Bruno went remote during the pandemic, built his VA skills from scratch, and started landing real clients in the US. Every engagement taught him something about what business owners actually needed, not just tasks, but real operational support.
When the Team Formed
As work grew, Bruno trained the people closest to him, friends, family members, trusted colleagues, rather than hiring cold from a platform. Each person was chosen for their character first, then their skills. No cold matching. No guesswork.
When It Became a Team
What had been one person doing digital work became a coordinated team, with a name, a structure, a set of values, and a clear identity. BBC was born not from a pitch deck, but from the natural growth of real work done with real people.
Where We Are Now
Today Balay ni Bruno & Co. is a founder-led, family-built operation, Bruno, Visa, Krizza, Ryan, Al, and the collaborators around them. Small by design. And as we grew, we built one more thing into the operation: a custom AI family member for every business we work with, so what our team can do for you has no real ceiling. Every client is known by name. Every engagement is led by Bruno personally. The work keeps growing because the relationships do too.
Looking Ahead
BBC isn't finished. As our clients grow, we grow alongside them. New team members are added with the same care as the first, trained, trusted, aligned. The house gets bigger without losing what made it home.
These aren't written on a wall. They're built into the way we work.
People-First
Systems exist to serve people, not the other way around. Every workflow we build, every process we design, starts with the human on the other end of it. Clients are not accounts. They're people we take responsibility for.
Honest Always
We tell you what's working and what isn't. We don't oversell, overpromise, or disappear when things get complicated. Honest communication is the foundation of every relationship we build, with clients and within the team.
Built to Last
We don't optimize for the quick win. We build systems, structures, and relationships that hold up over time. Most BBC clients stay for years. That's not an accident, it's what happens when support is designed to grow.
Family Business
The name says it, this is a house we built. Bruno trained the people around him, invested in them personally, and brought them into something that creates real opportunity. That spirit extends to every client who becomes part of it.
