When should an assistant stop and ask before posting?
Whenever the post is new wording the client has not seen, touches something the client has said no to, or names another person or business. Otherwise the approved plan is the permission.
Stop and ask
- New copy the client has not approved.
- A holiday or theme the client has not agreed to.
- Tagging or naming another business.
- Anything about prices or offers.
Each client has their own limits
One client of ours wants no holiday posts at all and signs off every draft personally. Limits like that are written down and travel with every plan, so nobody proposes what was already refused.
Carry on without asking
Posting exactly what is in the approved plan, on the date agreed.
Where this comes from
This is how our own team works every day. It is not taken from one client.
