What goes into a client progress report?

Four things: what we did, what we found, what we fixed and what comes next. It is written in plain language from what actually happened, and it arrives in the client's morning.

The four parts

  • What we did.
  • What we found.
  • What we fixed.
  • What is next.

The rules

  • Only true things.
  • Never padded to look busy.
  • Real specifics, not general reassurance.
  • If nothing meaningful changed, we say that.

When it arrives

Our team works through the client's daytime, so the report is sent after the shift ends and is waiting when their next day starts.

Where this comes from

This is how our own team works every day. It is not taken from one client.
