Our growth, year by year

How one assistant became a family of them.

One person learned every job by doing it, then built a team, then gave that team better tools. In the years our records cover, 2022 to 2026, we started work with 54 businesses, and fourteen introductions came from a client we already worked for.

New businesses we started work with, each year

We count a business in the year we first worked with it, and only where our records say who it was. 2026 is counted to date.

The story so far

Six chapters, in order.

Before any of this: three jobs and a headset

Our founder spent his first working years as an employee: sales and publishing marketing, then data mining, lead generation and search work, then two years answering customers for a bank. This part is his own account, told from memory.

The first freelance year

In October 2020 he started freelancing: appointment setting, sales, graphic design, simple video, real estate assistant work. Several of those jobs were short placements through assistant agencies, and some overlapped.

  • Simple video
  • Real estate assistant work
  • Working for clients in another time zone

The first clients who stayed, and the first people paid

2022 brought the first long relationships: a pet-brand marketing agency, a real estate investment firm in Texas, an anime merchandise store and a coach who would stay for three years. A payroll sheet from early that year shows our founder already paying helpers, and by October he was hosting his own team meeting.

Learning every job by doing it

2023 was many smaller jobs, each one a new skill: social media for an SEO agency, cold email campaigns, a YouTube channel and video editing for a photography studio, TikTok for a salon, LinkedIn lead generation. None of them was large. Together they covered most of the channels the team works in today.

Running a team before there was an agency

In 2024 the work changed shape. Inside a talent management agency, our founder went from working a shift to running the people who worked them: hiring, training, planning shifts and writing procedures. Four teammates were on that account with him. The year ended with a Shopify store built for a retailer in the United Kingdom.

  • Shift planning
  • Written procedures
  • Billing for a team
  • Building a store from a brief

A team you can actually grow with

From 2025 the clients came for a team, not for one person. A Shopify Plus agency came to us for staff, automation and client support, and for its own content. A foundation, a design showroom and a hair brand joined in the second half of 2025. In 2026 came a cabinet maker, a builder, a signing agency and more, several of them in Texas and several of them sent by another client. Since January 2026 everything we do is tracked in one system, run by the people who do the work.
